Big sigh driving to work this morning when I heard the news about the Purchaser's index. This news
supports my hope that we really are moving out of this terrible recession. My hopeful nature has been telling me this, but this news has removed some of the doubt. I think it is now time for the fence sitters to take a plunge into real estate and buy a home at these great prices. You might say that this isn't the bottom, but if you look at the pricing for oil, gold, autos etc, the price of homes is really low right now.
So this index means the retailers are getting low on inventory and are calling on the suppliers to make them more, right? That is good news from another sector of the economy.
The interest rates have done some bouncing up in the past week- though they are still AMAZINGLY LOW. The affordability factor is the highest it's been in a long time.
